Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) PlayStation Plus fans have a reason to smile courtesy of the latest discounted price offered by Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN).
The discount will be offered as a Groupon code that will be available to PlayStation fans through physical cards rather than being available as digital codes. This means those who subscribe will have to wait for their cards to be shipped meaning they will not receive instant gratification. Nonetheless, the shipping will be free. Groupon’s discount shaves off $14 from the actual membership price which is quite a significant discount for an annual subscription. Unfortunately, there is a caveat to the discounted cards. The codes from the cards will only be useful people who have new Groupon accounts.
Those who wish to take advantage of the coupon should have a new home address or a new email for them to qualify for the discount. The new offer from Groupon is the best discount that has been offered for PlayStation Plus in 2016. Past discounted cards for PlayStation Plus have been ranging between $40 and $50 over the past few months. The new $36 offer has been described as a good deal at this time of the year considering that such deals only come around during the holiday season.
A PlayStation Plus membership will provide access to numerous titles such as Retro/grade and Yakuza 5 for the PS3 and Rebel Galaxy as well as Tricky Towers for PS4 players. PlayStation Vita owners who have subscribed to the service will receive access to Ultratron and Patapon 3. Groupon is also offering another deal which will lower the price tag for the 64 GB version of the Huawei Nexus 6P by a massive $150. This means that the handset will be priced at $399.99 compared to its previous price tag of $550. The huge discount also means that it will feature the same price tag as the 32 GB variant of the Huawei Nexus 6P. The new discount is the handset will reach its lowest price tag in history.
