Wizard World Inc (OTCBB:WIZD) has acquired the services of Coca Cola as the company’s title sponsor, for its FansTang Comic Con in China. The announcement came soon after Wizard World announced the launch of its Comic Con Box. The first edition of the box was sold out, within 6-days of its launch. The boxes have a delivery time of 1-2 weeks and Wizard World has decided to offer a limited premium subscription from this month.
The Comic Con Box contains collectibles, technology, toys, games and other stuff based on characters from comic books. All this is delivered by the service to the customer’s doorstep, for a small subscription charge of $29.99 per month. Wizard World’s unique links with the entertainment industry and publishers allows it to gain access to all the top quality goods for its box.
The service currently operates in the US, with a single box of goods being delivered each month. The services are offered through its website, email and all social networks. However, the company has also announced that it would soon be offering a 3-month subscription, which would include a “Marvel Secret Wars” sketch variant comic.
Wizard World CEO, John Macaluso, announced his delight at signing the world’s largest beverage company. He even went on to state that with such a grand name for the title sponsor the event can look forward to a tremendous future. He hoped that Coca Cola would find the platform a great place to market its products from. He concluded by saying that he hopes that Coca Cola would look forward to further sponsoring Wizard World events around the world, to be able to reach a unique audience globally.
The event in China is just the first of 27 events planned for Wizard World this year. This is the company’s first event outside North America and the company has asked a number of celebrities to make an appearance to make the event successful.
Wizard World Inc (OTCBB:WIZD) closed at $0.720, after losing 10% on May 18. The company has 51.36 million shares being traded in the market, with a 52-week range of $0.00-$1.28.
