Porsche is quite pleased about its most recent innovation, the Taycan all-electric sports car. This German automaker broadcasted this latest achievement in three locations, including China, Germany, and Canada. It asserts that the Taycan is by far more formidable than the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife racetrack. The 7 minutes and 42 seconds record time is a significant achievement, according to business analysts. On the other hand, Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has declared its plans to take its Model S to the outstanding Nürburgring. That may be in next week.

Porsche and its take on the latest developments

Porsche intends to do everything possible to market its most recent model. It thinks of it as the most high-tech EV and also the fastest in its class. The “Green Hell” racetrack isn’t easy for Porsche to beat. However, managing to do so would mean much about its capabilities as a business.

It is easy for anyone to downplay the latest tweet by Elon Musk as being unrelated to the discussion here. As revealed earlier, the tweet had everything to do with Tesla taking its model to the famed Nürburgring over the coming week.

However, it is crucial to recognize the fact that the timing in this case scenario is rather coincidental. Market observers say that that has got nothing to do with the unveiling of the “Tesla killer.” The latest release, according to critics, would see the company of Musk blown out of proportion in terms of business.

Comparing the two models

No doubt about it, Tesla is a manufacturer of some of the world’s fastest cars. Take, for instance, the Model S whose performance lies at about 0–60 mph acceleration of 2.4 seconds. A critical analysis of this figure as compared to Porsche’s Taycan Turbo S makes the matter clearer. Of course, the performance of Tesla’s Model S is faster when brought in close comparison to Porsche’s Taycan Turbo S that takes 2.6 seconds. That is indeed over a similar sprint.

The question is, can Musk’s car move the 12.9-mile (20.8 km) track faster. Can it take less than 7 minutes and 42 seconds? This is something we have to wait and see! Musk has been indicating great interest in following up Taycan’s debut and maybe soon we will see his next tweet.
