Huntington Bancshares Incorporated (NASDAQ:HBAN) has recently named Nancy Maloney, former BMO Financial Group Chief Accountant, as the Executive Vice President (EVP) of Controller, replacing David Anderson, who will be retiring. Her appointment will be effective in September after Huntington Bancshares will have filed its Form 10-Q for the third quarter.
Maloney’s Appointment
Prior to her stint at BMO Financial Group, Maloney had served various leadership roles at American Express Company (NYSE:AXP), overseeing the offices of Global Banking Project Management, Regulatory Reporting-Basel II Implementation, and Accounting Policy and Business Advisory Controller. She had also worked as a staff accountant at the Corporate Finance division of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during the early years of her career.
Stephen Steinour, Huntington Bancshares Chairman, CEO, and President, cited Maloney’s extensive experience in both the public and private sectors as her primary qualifications to spearhead the company’s Controller office.
Maloney, on the other hand, is thrilled to take a new step in her career as she joins a reputable company.
New Board of Directors Members
Following the recent completion of its acquisition of Firstmerit Corp (NASDAQ:FMER), Huntington Bancshares has also welcomed four new members to its Board of Directors.
Joining the company’s Board of Directors are former Firstmerit Board of Directors members Lizabeth Ardisana, ASG Renaissance CEO; Robert Cubbin, Meadowbrook Insurance Group, Inc. (NYSE:MIG) CEO and President; Gina France, France Strategic Partners Founder, CEO, and President; and Michael Hochschwender, The Smithers Group, Inc. CEO and President.
Ardisana is currently the United Way for Southeastern Michigan Chairman of the Board and a Michigan Economic Development Corp. executive committee member.
Meanwhile, Cubbin is presently a member of Kelly Services, Inc. (NASDAQ:KELYA) Board of Directors.
France, on the other hand, is currently a member of the respective Board of Directors of CBIZ, Inc. (NYSE:CBZ) and Cedar Fair, L.P. (NYSE:FUN). She is also a Business Advisory Council for Baldwin Wallace College member and a DanceCleveland trustee.
Steinour believes that all four new members of the Board of Directors bring unique and extensive expertise from their respective years of executive experiences.
Life Clips Inc (OTCMKTS:LCLP) Teams UP with Toy R Us For Mobeego
Toy R Us is the latest company to show interest in Life Clips Inc (OTCMKTS:LCLP) popular disposable and recyclable battery Mobeego. The two have confirmed the signing of an agreement for an initial test run of the product that will see them go on sale in 20 of the retailers 81 stores in Canada.
Toy R Us has already opened the door for making Mobeego available in all its stores across Canada in the roll out phase, turning out positive. Life Clips CEO Bob Gruder on confirming the news reiterated that the test phase could accord the Mobeego the much-needed exposure needed to make it mainstream and global.
The signing of a deal with Toy R Us comes on the heels of a string of distribution agreements with a number of partners across the globe. Following on distribution deals in Hong Kong, Spain and Portugal Life Clips Inc (OTCMKTS:LCLP) has also signed another agreement for a minimum quota purchase for 100,000 units in Chile. The total value of the deal is $170,000.
