Sigma Labs Inc. (NASDAQ:SGLB) reported its association with a high-end manufacturer of advanced machine tools, EDM, and 3D printing products, for a testing and evaluation program. It will offer its PrintRite3D IPQA® system and services-hardware, engineering training, software, and metallurgical consulting and associated support services.
Momentum in test and evaluation program growing
Sigma reported that the OEM client with whom they have partnered is one of the world’s leading EDM manufacturers. It ventured into the additive manufacturing segment using its success in the manufacture, design, and sale of premium quality and high-end machine tool equipment.
This association exhibits the third leading OEM to enter Sigma’s test and evaluation program in the last few months. The company’s recent deals with leading OEM’s and clients validate the value of its PrintRite3D technology. The company offers its technology licensing to all major AM machine manufacturers who want improved machine process supervision and optimization.
John Rice, the CEO of Sigma, said that the momentum of their test and evaluation plan is growing, and they are thrilled to associate with the Japanese OEM in the AM segment. This evaluation plan is a natural course of their OEM licensing initiatives, working to deploy PrintRite3D directly into Additive Manufacturing machines at the plant OEM level.
Contract win from VTT
In unrelated news, Sigma reported that VTT awarded them a contract to install PrintRite3D at the VTT 3D metal printing plant. VTT is a visionary R&D and innovation associate for its clients. VTT 3DMetalprint service offers a unique, economical method to produce cost-effective and optimized products using the digital process.
VTT has remained one of the most active Finnish participants in EU-sponsored research projects. It plays a major role in global and national innovation associations, with 96% of VTT’s client survey participants stating their cooperation with the company in a project endorsed their networking. VTT’s selection of Sigma’s PrintRite3D is a conduit to some of the leading international firms who trust the company’s recommendations for the latest technologies.
