Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) reported that the firm has engaged Jeff Ryan as Chief People Officer, effective November 27. Ryan will look after global Human Recourses, Learning, Development and Recruiting for the firm, and will report directly to CEO Frank Gibeau.

The CEO of Zynga expressed that he is thrilled to welcome Ryan to Zynga as their new Chief People Officer. He has extensive experience in digital media and gaming, with a track-record of assisting firms attract and retain key talent. Ryan will play a vital role at Zynga as they continue to establish a leading gaming studio and support their international teams through better career progression and development.
Ryan brings to company international HR experience of over 20 years in the segment of gaming and digital media industries. Prior to joining Zynga, Ryan was SVP of People at GoPro, Inc., where he looked after global HR, real estate and facilities at the content and action camera company. Before joining GoPro, he had been associated with CBS Corporation as SVP of HR for the firm’s Digital Media Business.
In that role, Ryan looked after recruiting and HR for CBS Interactive, one of the leading publishers of premium content on the web. Ryan also spent around 7 years at Electronic Arts, Inc., where he was the Head of HR for EA Canada, VP of HR for EA Sports, and VP of HR for EA’s leading business unit, Interactive and Publishing.
