Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), a major social game developer, reported Phuong Phillips as the new Chief Legal Officer of company, effective Monday, September 25. Phillips will look after all government relations and legal affairs for the firm, and will report directly to CEO Frank Gibeau.

Phillips has extensive experience of over 15 years in the field of clean energy industry and technology legal experience. Before joining Zynga, she was Associate General Counsel for Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA), where she looked after the post-acquisition integrations of Grohmann Engineering and SolarCity Corp. Before that, she has spent over six years at SolarCity, a clean energy firm.
On her new role, Phillips commented that she is incredibly delighted to join Zynga in its objective to connect the world via games, and work with Gibeau and the leadership team on the firm’s upcoming chapter. Before joining SolarCity, Phillips served as a Corporate Attorney at popular firm Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati for over 7 years, where she exemplified a wide range of technology and developing growth firms on corporate governance, venture and private equity financing, public reporting, securities laws, IPOs and M&A.
In the last trading session, the stock price of Zynga gained more than 1% to close the day at $3.88.
