Rite Aid Corporation (NYSE:RAD) RediClinic and Hackensack Meridian Health has recently formed a joint venture to open a total of 10 clinics, which are co-branded as Hackensack Meridian Health RediClinics, inside select Rite Aid pharmacies in Ocean, Monmouth, and Middlesex counties.

Web Golinkin, RediClinic CEO, boasted that the company has always intended to form strategic partnerships that will provide better healthcare services. Golinkin added that the collaboration with Hackensack Meridian Health will enable the company to tap its resources, leading to maximized yet cost-efficient healthcare services in New Jersey (NJ).

Similarly, Dean Lin, Hackensack Meridian Health Regional President, noted that the healthcare provider is thrilled to be working with RediClinic in ensuring optimized yet affordable healthcare access in the state.

Hackensack Meridian Health RediClinics

Accordingly, Hackensack Meridian Health RediClinics will be open seven times a week. On weekdays, the healthcare facilities will have extended operating hours. Patients can visit anytime without having to make appointments. Nonetheless, online appointments will be welcomed.

The new clinics will house nurse practitioners from Hackensack Meridian Health with licenses to administer diagnosis and treatments, and even prescribe drugs when necessarily appropriate. They are also capable of administering preventive services such as health screenings, immunizations, medical tests, and physical examinations. Local medical directors associated with Hackensack Meridian Health will supervise the nurse practitioners deployed. The Hackensack Meridian Health RediClinics will also come with Weight Forward, the lifestyle management program of RediClinic.

Seasonal Flu Shots Availability

Last week, Rite Aid has confirmed that seasonal flu shots are already available at Rite Aid pharmacies across the US. Consequently, those who wish to get vaccinated can simply visit the nearest Rite Aid pharmacy. No appointments are necessary. Rite Aid pharmacists licensed to facilitate immunizations will administer the seasonal flu shots.

The seasonal flu shots available include quadrivalent vaccines, trivalent flu vaccines, and high-dose influenza vaccines.

Immunizations are highly recommended for everyone, especially adults aged 65 years old and above, children aged five years old and below, diabetes patients, pregnant women, those who are suffering from asthma and other chronic lung diseases, those who are suffering from heart diseases, those who are suffering from kidney and liver diseases, and those who have poor immune systems.
