Pokémon GO Servers Go Down
Pokémon GO players were infuriated after the servers crashed massively on Sunday, the second time since the game was launched. The system failure can be attributed to the official launch in Canada on the said day.
The first crash happened on Saturday morning, the same day when the app was launched officially in 26 European countries. OurMine, a group of hackers, admitted that it was responsible for the servers going down on Saturday. The team attacked the system with distributed denial of service (DDoS), which made it impossible for some users to login and access their accounts. OurMine warned that it will not stop hacking Pokémon GO until authorized representatives from the app developers contact OurMine members, who seek to give them a lesson or two on how they can secure the app from such attacks.
