The trip commenced in Cape Town South Africa where the CBIS team met with important government , private sector, academic and civil society stakeholders. This is so as to make available high quality cannabinoid based pharmaceuticals to those who really need such facilities around them.
In Windhoek, Namibia the team held meetings with the leaders of Namibian National Forensic Science Institute and the Federal Police who oversee regulation of drugs that are highly addictive. The Namibian team were mainly focused on public use and health.
The entire details of the African visit will be made public during a black tie, red carpet event in Los Angeles. Stakeholders in the sector and also celebrities are expected to turn up in large numbers to raise funds that go to treatment of cancer using cannabinoids.
And indeed, CBIS has a lot to celebrate having recently launched CannaPOW which is the world’s first cannabis instant beverage that is soluble in water. The beverage which was unveiled in June1, 2016 during the EIHA Cannabis and CBD Conference in Germany was developed in collaboration with Dupetit Natural Products GmbH.
CBIS and Dupetit Natural Products GmbH have been working on this product for months. Alot of research was put in and finally there was elimination of THC content and dewaxing.
Cannabinoids are known to lose stability when they come into contact with water due to oxidation but CBIS was able to work it all out and give one of finest cannabinoids based beverages.
