Directview Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:DIRV) announced its deal with xG Technology Inc (NASDAQ:XGTI), a developer company of spectrum sharing and wireless communications technologies. The agreement will allow Directview to integrate its body camera with xG’s advanced xMax private mobile broadband system.

The details

The new integrated solution is named as “DVXG-1000” and is planned to be launched in 3Q2015. The DVXG-1000 will have the functionality and features of Directview’s body-worn camera and will also have the high-secure, private and secure communications features of xG’s xMax technology. Both firms plan to initially take on joint marketing measures toward the real estate, law enforcement, and military, education, government and education security markets. The new system as called as DVXG-1000 will showcase numerous state-of-the-art features including imbedded biometric assess, push to talk, high capacity streaming video, GPS, Bluetooth®, and WIFI/4G LTE.

The demand and need

The numerous recent law enforcement incidents brings national focus on the need of body-worn cameras by police officers. Directview and xG see a rapidly growing industry for real-time video access in security related operations. As per report, the use of these cameras has become a topic of political debate. Following the incidents President Obama proposed federal spending amounting to $75 million to help pay for body-worn cameras. Moreover, Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton also supports the use body cameras so as to have record of interactions between patrol officers and suspects.

Roger Ralston, the Board Chairman of Directview, stated that they are excited to associate with xG as they work towards the presentation of next generation law enforcement system. xMax’s advanced technology will allow Directview to seamlessly integrate its body camera to provide a secure solution.

In last trading session, the stock price of DIRV declined more than 21% to close the trading session at $0.0100. The decline came at a share volume of 10.74 million compared to average share volume of 5.84 million.
